Veggie invasion of PAX?

The Penny Arade Expo (PAX) will be on August 24th to 26th of this year. I think it would be a good time for the Veggies to meet up again, much like the one held on New Years. Catnipped, being the gracious host she is, has decided that we can crash at her place and has offered to pay for all of our tickets (okay maybe not quite, but vicious rumors is what I do best!). What say all you Veggies?

*shakes Velius violently*

But yeah, I can host everyone and I think PAX is going to be awesome this year. This is the first year they are moving into the humongous Convention Center, which is like 10x the size of their old place. Seattle is also quite lovely and nondepressing in August :)

Cool...I'll try to see if I can get some time free for that :)

I'm just curious what exactly goes on at PAX (I'm not a consistent reader of Penny Arcade -_-).

From the PAX website FAQ.

"PAX is a three-day game festival for tabletop, videogame and PC gamers. We call it a festival because in addition to dedicated tournaments and freeplay areas we've got nerdcore concerts, panel discussions, the weekend-long Omegathon event, and an exhibitor hall filled with booths displaying the latest from top game publishers and developers. Even with all this amazing content the best part of PAX is hanging out with other people who know their shit when it comes to games"

I went last year and it was a pretty fun thing. No Penny Arcade knowledge required. Think of it as E3 for gamers.

Here are two blogposts by one of my friend that explains the whole thing in detail. It pretty much covers everything that happens at PAX.
