The waiting game

This must be a particular hobby for companies as this is the 4th time I have been told to wait for the "final decision." While the recruiter keeps telling me to hang in there, I am pretty fed up with this crap. I think I will just schedule my tickets and if it happens to be in conflict with anything, too bad. Luckily, there are some other interviews on the horizon just in case Accenture is playing the dog on the leash game with me.

That probably means you are not their first pick, but the people ahead of you have not replied yet or have strong competing offers. Doesn't it feel great to be the backup plan?

I am leaning towards Ender's explanation also. They must be stringing you along for something. Which is totally unprofessional imo. I say keep looking for more interviews, if one comes through you can totally kick the Accenture guys.

Unfortunately, this reminds me of the crap that buyers will pull with sales on Craigslist. They keep putting off coming by to pick stuff up, so they can lock up the best deal. No reason not to keep looking while the company is dragging its feet.

Definitely shady, so beat them at their own game.

Oh yeah, btw, I have heard of plenty of people who will keep interviewing for higher paying jobs immediately AFTER they get the job too. It screws over the original company, but no one ever has sympathy for HR.

I mean, if everyone else is haxxoring...
